you all just dont get it because you can afford new tires for $400 or $700. truck tires are expensive. hes a college student! im a high school student! i dont know about him but i work a minimum wage job during school. its even harder when you gotta use premium in your truck or when your truck gets 13 mpg. so lay off the guy. cut your salary in half or even into a third and then you'll know how we feel.

Yes and no - if I used them while on public roads with any traffic present then yes, that would be illegal, however I've been blinded by idiots with HIDs set on high way too many times so I know better than to drive around with all lights blaring. I normally use just my low and high beams, the high-power auxiliaries are pretty much only for when I come around a corner and think I see something on the road or its side that could be potential danger, and also for lighting up work space when I'm out on a job. So yeah having them is perfectly legal, it's operating them can be illegal under certain conditions, but like I said I know better than go all stupid with them.

Skyfox, The reason I mentioned old tires is because of the big deal on TV about dealers selling tires as new that were date coded over 4 yrs old and the they were talking about the integrity of the rubber getting worse as they get older They were saying that most people don't know how to read the date code and they think they are getting a new tire, when in fact, they have been setting on shelves for years.Another thing I think about is the "emergency spare" that people use that is nothing more than a glorified inner tube.I think people should run good tires, everything is better with them, but I've seen hard times years ago, when I had to make it to work on tires showing the wearbars and I drove like they were bad,I can also bring a front tire blowout down from 80mph without leaving my lane, not like these modern drivers that roll over Explorers and try to sue Ford because they had a blowout and don't know not to spike the brakes and try to pull over.We have a lot of hard times in this country right now and everyone has to deal with it the best they can.I don't feel any worse seeing a guy ahead of me on the freeway with bald tires than I do seeing them yapping on a cell phone.Well I'll get down off my soap box now, sorry guys.

I replaced the factory wipers on my 91' F250 today
Speaking of tires, the guy I got it from had it parked since last July, tires are pretty weathered and cracked. I need to replace them soon, but I'm broke, what can I say. 33x12.5s likely to go on as replacements, the factory tires are just about 32x10.5, plenty of room for the extra 1/2" in radius.

I started out replacing the Radiator on my 91 7.3L hoping to fix my heating issues. I got a little more heat out of it but broke the vacuum control that changes from fresh air for the heater/AC then I broke the housing for the Blower fan, then I broke the clip that holds the wiring plug on the blower fan, then I broke the last hose clamp on the farm. I also think I may have broken my wrist or at least it looks broke. and last but not least I broke my wallet on the radiator.
