Hey All,
I want to move/get rid of my column shifter and put one on the floor. I have been looking at B&M's Uni-shifter (their universal one). Has any one did this to their B2?
Pro's---Con's?
I did. Just remember to purchase the install kit or whatever its called.(I didn't) Straight out of the box it will work but you will loose a gear. Since I needed 1st more then i needed park I just made my park-reverse and just start it in neutral. If you need any pics i can take some for you. It's actually pretty easy to instal.

dont get me wrong..the kit works if you get the install kit for it.. I DIDN'T..that's why I dont have a park.
since the a4ld trans are manual shift over drive you need to make sure you get the kit to get the right shift plate..if not you wind up with 3 gears instead of 4. I'm just too lazy to switch the plate now that i've installed it and am used to it. TOO many other important things to think about doing.

Still thinkin about it! Have to admit that going the Donor route makes more sense! I just have to find some time and squeeze it in between replacing my steering pump, brake pads and repacking my wheel bearings. Not that I am complaining! I love working on my truck! FYI...199867....and still going strong!
