Will it bolt up? You may have to fiddle with linkage and fuel hook up.
This is a simple carb, so as long as you hook it up safely--check the linkage for binding and return, make SURE your fuel connection does not leak and doesn't come off or chaf under another part.
If it won't bolt up, find the proper carb, no sense having an adaptor on top of the other issues, just invites trouble.
I think the 1.08 is under 300 cfm. There is a chart on here somewhere. The biggest one is barely 400 I think, and the 1.08 is the smallest of the crowd.
i no longer have an electronic 2150A, i do have a non elct 2150 now but is cracked by the stud hole and it also binds some times keeping the engine reved up until i press the gas pedal a few times really hard, that's why i like to change it
Thanks for posting that carb info. I did not know these already used the 2150. It's 45 seconds to figure out if the jets are different. I'd try it as is, but that's easy to say on the internet.
A non-cracked, non-binding carb is a big step up here. Jets, ahh, you can always jet.
it is runing now. however i parked it to check on a noise that developed, my friend thinks is the crankshaft bearings, i,ll pull the engine saturday and check them. I tryed to check by removing the oil pan but it is near to imposible to remove the pan with the eng still in, so i want to clean and paint the eng compartment anyway, but yea i dont want to run it until i find out what it is that noise
ive been running my 2.8 on a 302 carb for quite some time... but instead of making a new post perhaps i can post in here... i am moving back up into high altitude. 6000ft average. what size jets should i use?
im using 2150 carb, K&N filter with 10" round edelbrock open filter box
duraspark ign
70s mustangII/Pinto heads (no smog)
2.5" exhaust, catco cab, flowmaster 40 delta flow
quite a few other mods... but not sure that any of them matter.
