SuperCrews first hand wash

I am going to hand wash my 08 4x4 Super Crew for the first time. Recommendations on which products to use would be great.
Thanks

I am a fan of MR. Clean Autodry. I like the fact that I do not need a bucket and that I never have to dry it.

I've used many products and am always detailing my cars, I've had the best luck since I've been using ICE soap and wax, the wax is extremely easy to use and leaves an awesome shine and the water beads clear off, I even wax the black trim and mirrors. Just waxed my truck over the weekend and it looks excellent.

I used to use ICE products but i think the wax doesn't last as long. Whenever i wax i usually use MG Gold Class which is awesome, with a power buffer and some microfiber towels. As for wash i used Turtle Wax gel that you just put on the sponge but i havent been able to find that lately.

I usually use Meguires or Mothers. I either Purple Power the wheels or use an acid on them.

As for the liquid ICE. It seems to be more of a liquid polish than an acutal wax to me that doesnt last long. And when I used it on my trim pieces, after they got wet it left marks on my paint below them from it running off. It mainly sits on my garage shelf.

I would like to try some stuff from these guys, but havent yet.

Hmmm, I'll have to see about the ICE then. I wax my vehicle's so often that it probably won't matter but still good info.

I use Turtle Wax Ice and I like the way it turns out. Easy on easy off. I don't do the plastic trim, just the paint, so I don't have any problems with runoff or such.

It may not last as long as the others but when you care about a truck, does it matter how often you get to spend time with it? lol. Plus it looks great once it's done.

Washed it today after a week of wax and used my backpack blower to dry it, the water ran completely off, no need to towel dry it at all. I waxed the windows, bumpers, rims and trim though..LOL

I'm sorry to high-jack this, but I want to know about MR. Clean Autodry. How does it work and where do you get it ?

I use the Turtle Wax ICE products and have had good results. The Mr. Clean stuff didn't work so well for me. My Truck gets dirty and only elbow grease is going to get it clean.

I use the liquid clay bar ICE first followed by the polish paste. I've used the liquid polish but it never would haze. The paste does however.

Before I purchased my FX4 I had an '03 Mustang Mach 1, it was my first brand new car and I loved it. I always used Meguire's products with it. I would wash it with the Gold Class wash, and used a two step process for wax with their cleaner wax (I used a clay bar at least every other month), and their NXT wax. It looked great, and dang I just realized exactly how much I miss that car right now........

Anyway, the FX4 gets the same treatment and it looks awesome! I just feel better when my truck is clean and looking great with a fresh coat of wax. Happy washing!

Still looks good after 1 year and 18K miles.
