These 2 are gone now, but they rode thousands of miles in the back of several of my trucks. Between the 2 of them there was a golden in my house for 14 years.

Sometimes it's tougher to lose your pup then many other problems you may have. I hope you have another picked out to love and share with. My wife flew out to Denver about 10 days ago to pick up a 'sister' for our current truck dog. I always though poodles were foo foo until my wife introduced me to Callie

Current - and that is a smile on Callie's face while sitting in my truck:

She also goes clamming on the beach:

Sorry for your loss Eric, my deepest condolences to you and the family.

I lost my truck Dog Bandit August 6th, 2013 and took its toll on me for a good while. Just remember she's in a better place and you treated her with the same love she treated you with. That's what helped me through the loss of my Faithful Pup Bandit.

I had to say "Good Bye" to my Co-Pilot Sammie back in the first week of January this year. She came to me as a lost dog almost 8 years ago and when I took her to the vet to get her examined and vacinated I was told that she was 12 to 15 years of age at that time. She was with me for a long time and was a most devoted companion...so she lived a long life. She came to suffering with her age late last year and I was really not looking forward to what was to be...but I knew I had to do it. I felt like part of my heart was tore out the day I had to put her to sleep. I have to say she went very quickly and that the staff at my Vet's office were very kind and thoughtful. I miss her terribly!

My condolences man, i can't imagine what it's going to be like when we have to let our little guy go seems like it will be unbearable at the time. She lived a long long life it seems though compared to most dogs which is good and means she got to see and do a lot again my condolences cant imagine having to do that.

Here are my two English Mastiffs. I don't have a picture of them in the truck. They're not permitted to ride inside the truck, but enjoy a ride in the bed.

The puppy is a male named Kahn he is 170# and just over a year old.

The brindle is Nala a female weighing in at around 140# at 6 years old.

Sorry for your loss, Eric. I am NOT going to handle it very well when the time comes for my lil buddy Riley! That's the biggest reason I resisted getting a dog for so many years, but the unconditional love they have for ya is amazing!
