But a 4x4 medium duty truck is about 25 grand or I can get a single axle truck for 3-5k and have everything, or its 1500 for the engine alone. so (and don't hate me for this) I thought about a rock front. with disks front and rear.
Aaron,
so youre going to swap in like a F600-700 drive train? Do you realize how big the pumpkin is on one of those? Ill measure the drop tomorrow when I get to work. They do have drop out 3rd members though.

Id seriously consider rocks front and rear before I went with the large Fseries stuff. The only "cool" thing with the Fseries rear/rock front would be if you can gear the rear so with the two speed rear in the LOW position its the same or very close to the front 6.71 ratio of the rock and then HIGH would be like an overdrive. Does that make sense?

more like from a International 4300 but yeah I know their HUGE, but O the Beef.
I spent a year in a diesel shop doing service jobs that was the small stuff. lol

I'm guessing but IIRC the pumpkin housing is in the 18" across range, it's been about 5 years now so I don't remember a whole lot, but a little.

Also I'm not building a "rocker or mud" toy more like a DOT legal trail truck, or something along those lines.

Ok so apparently some small minded people dont understand that the truck in this signature is a combination of many sarcasims. Please quit being stupid and study up before you run your mouth about it.

Man this sucks! I need someone to follow in their path and get all their junk that they are upgrading. It seems we have about the same time line Karl. Make do for now until the stroker/dommy/victor can get built next year.

Ive got a 750 DP now. Im needing something in the 825-850 range to eliminate choking above 4000rpm - Monsterbaby. Scott wanted me to buy a custom built 950HP but at almost a grand I cant swing it. Rob says its too much anyway.

Well, I guess the good part is my Uncle wants me to build him basically the same thingas the ranger, but will be using a 79 Bronco frame that he want to put a 79 full size cam and front clip on, then we'll make a short flat bed for the rear that will hold the fuel cell and battery. So, all of my take off parts, and probably my whole motor, he wants to buy off me for that, and will give me a good core 460 to bore/stroke. And since he donated most of my drive line already, I couldn't say no....

As for the 950's, in talking with Randy over on 460Ford, he told me that the 850 will actually flow much better on the Weiand than the 950 due to the 950's scalloped venturies. Now if it were the single plane Victor or Ford, then the 950 would be the better choice with the same build. It's all about air flow, so since I got the stealth at such a steal, I'm limited to the 850 is as big as I can go, for now...................

Try and tear it up. I want/plan to be able to handle some mud, and rocks just not bogs or hill climbs if that makes sense.
