Aaron,
its a very good axle but its hard to go to a junk yard without tripping over 5 or 6 of them. Almost as easy as finding a 9" rear or 350 chebby engine. Its worth $150-250 around here depending on condition and gear/carrier options

I knew they were good axles, but I really don't have a use for it (I plan to to use the medium duty truck axles) so I figured I'd offer it up and maybe make a little cash at the same time, O well better luck next time.
I want to run a driveline brake on something. Just something I think would be interesting. Is a single regular rotor enough surface area?
well it depends on how you want to stop.....one driveline brake will stop your truck in about the 4 times the distance it will with 4 brakes.....now if you put one on each axle then you'd stop in about 2 times the distance.....i'd say one driveline brake rotor isn't going to stop you in a safe distance...

Yep, when I do the diesel conversion I figured to use the drive train as well, the rear axle is rated at 15-36k lbs (way over beef I know) I don't now about the front haven't been able to find any info on them.
But a 4x4 medium duty truck is about 25 grand or I can get a single axle truck for 3-5k and have everything, or its 1500 for the engine alone. so (and don't hate me for this) I thought about a rock front. with disks front and rear.
Does anyone have a holley demon quick fuel or proform (just not edelbrock) 825-850cfm carb? DP or HP style prefered but would be interested in what youve got.
If you find one, let me know as I need an 850 DP as well. I prefer something like a 4150 series, Quick Fuel, or Proform. I want to stay away from demon as once you go to BG stuff, it's hard to upgrade the carb parts. Where the holley stuff will interchange with all the trick stuff alot easier.
So, since both Kris and I need carbs, you minions poney up your unwanted junck and help some minions out!!
