do you know whos all owned this bike?? usually second goes out from being slammed into gear with out the clutch when racing.

also how high of rpm does it cut out?? is it close to redline or is it like halfway or little over??

Well, a really over weight guy had it, and I guess he like to bring his g/f that is my size with him alot.

It seems to cut out worse around 1/4 or 3/8 throttle. I went threw all 4 carbs today and cleaned them, but I think it might not be getting enough fuel threw the petcocks(had to ghetto rig them to get it to start)
It also doesn't have an air box on it yet. I know that my 450 doesn't run for crap without an airbox lid, so I think I'm going to try to find a box for it, and work from there.

Andrew I dont konw jack about motorcylce transmissions... The cutting out problem sounds like it could be a fuel problem... Hard to say, i would need more info.
x2 on stripping second out by not using the clutch and just banging through the gears.

i havent opened up a motorcycle tranny myself, but i have a buddy with a cycle shop and i watched all the time. it wasnt too bad, in fact pretty simple. most of them have cases that split and the shafts come out real nice and easy. go ahead i have faith in you minions guys, your not idiots mechanically. sorry for the newbie invasion carry on and forget i was here, thanks Kris! So i've spent 8 hours today with a clay bar and a bottle of spray cleaner....and i've only got through the bed, tailgate and one door....my hands hurt....but theres no more brake dust rust spots on my shiny truck....LOL

I thought about taking it in.......but i'm kinda picky about this truck....i went so far as to take the bumper off so i could get behind it.....prolly why it took me so long and i got so little done....lol

So today i hear of a 87 F-350 4wd with a 351w and 5spd for $500. Im try to look at it tomorrow. Think i should buy it?

yes i bought a vehicle and no its not a chevy... its actually not american or china made...

clay bar makes the hands hurt quick...

Im am also VERY picky about my truck... may not seem like it the way i beat it... But i am

cheeto yes... then sell me the 351w for 300 dollars
