Thats why I never did it.

Andrew,
its glossy because I rubbed it down with 10W40 after I took the intake off to clean/port it. I didnt want it to spot rust.

This motha is almost finished. Anyone know the torque specs on roller rockers? Either I ordered the wrong ones or jegs sent me the wrong MSD wires.

Anyone need a set of MSD helicore 8mm plug wires $50. The box says they fit 351C W M 400 and 460 but dont fit my engine. Its designed for a distributor cap with the holes and not the one with the studs.

Wires won't work for me, but I'd like to be there when you fire that puppy up!

lol that reminds me of the first time i had a snow board thrown at me!! we were workin on a friends k5 blazer. one of our roommates had the bedroom down stairs next to the garage. didnt know he was home as his truck was not there( he got a ride home from the bar the night before). fired it up with open headers and proceeded to romp on it trying to figure out why it was dieing when you hit the gas. he came out and grabbed the first thing he could find and launch it across the garage at us. apparently he had a hangover and was still asleep when we started it...lol

Open headers at 2,500 RPMs for 20 minutes...

First 30 seconds would be interesting the rest would just start hurting.

Matt,
youre probably right.

I do want to hear it run with open headers though. I might sit my laptop on the front seat and record some of it.

its almost like god wants me to built this Ranger, just lookin around on craigslist locally here, found a guy who has a set of axles out of a 73 Bronco which sounds like the perfect axles for this 98 Ranger, best part is, he wants $400 for the set D44/9" imma try and get dad to buy them since he kinda wants to do this build too, if not i may have to jsut save and see if i can get them, probably need to be rebuilt some for that price but still dont sound too bad to me

So I built this big table top kicker jump for my back yard to help me in setting up my shocks on the wheelers. Well I got this smart idea to drive my truck up it. Well, I got up on it without it breaking, got out to get a picture, and crack, no more jump.
