Smile What is the compression reading on a 2.9L 9factory new engine)?

Hello: New to the site but already have a question. I am doing a valve job on a 1987 Bronco II with a 2.9L engine. I took a compression test on all 6 cylinders before the breakout and want to know if I need to change the rings. All cyclinders were reading 170 to 175 PSI. I do not know the factory (new compression readings) on a 2.9L engine but would love to know these figures? Please let me know if anyone has a comment on this issue.

Welcome to the site!

I would check out the Cologne V6 engine forum (2.8,2.9,4.0 etc.) for an answer for your questions.

Hope we can get an answer for you
