I just won my case so Ill be ordering a new truck shortly. I have heard rumblings that the factory will quit taking orders for the 08's pretty soon and if I have to wait for the 09 to start being built is could be quite a wait

Based on the "current" (things can change) schedule you have about a month to get your order in. The 09's were recently delayed by a couple of weeks, so they will be building 08's a little longer than originally planned...
Last day to order a '08 is 06/06/08.
Last day of '08 production is 07/31/08.
No order changes or cancellations will be accepted after 05/30/08.

My truck is running bad I just went on a trip to Indianapolis on the way home it was raining hard I could not go over 65mph to truck was missing and running bad!
I am starting to think this is a raining problem or moisture humidity issues.
I got 15.5 mpg going down and 14.2 coming back with lots of white smoke on the way back!! Come on V10
Can hardly wait for you too. So you can start enjoying your truck like most of us have. Right now diesel just hit $4.45 in town, Gas is 3.62. Your V10 will probably average 11.5 on that same trip. but dollar per mile Diesel .30 cents per mile an gas .31 cents per mile.

I Got A 2002 F350 V10 W 4:30. No Problems And Pulls The Boat To The River 85mph Up Hill. I Just Bought 2008 F450 Last Year W 6.4 Auto. Its Going In W Radiator Leak W 9500 Miles On It. And Still Got My 79 F150 4x4 I Bought New. Still Runs Great
I agree with your decision ....after owning 3 diesels (2 fords 1 dodge) I thought I would never own a gas truck again...Ive only had the radiator issue @ 6500 miles with my current 08 ford and like the truck (current milage is 18,000)
but...if i was only towing occasionally (my car hauler with my toyota pu rock krawler 6,000#) and with the current maint cost and diesel being about $.40-.60 more per gallon in vegas I would definatly buy the v-10
I still tow a 38' fifth wheel toy hauler so I'm keeping the diesel for now..
youll like the 4.30 gears even up to 35-37 in tires it would be like having 3.73 with small stock tires or 4.10 gears with 35 " tires......make sure you correct ur speedo or gps it on a trip after
At Avis Ford in Southfield Michigan there are TWO 08 diesels in the used car lot - bot for sale (used). I was shocked to see this. Ill go in and get some mileage updates and request a OASIS report. These trucks really are a problem
