DP tuner 140 hp aggressive tune

im really close to purchasing a DP tuner for my truck. i am trying to figure out what tunes to get. im pretty sure i want the stock, no start, 60tow, 80econo, 120, and either 140 aggressive or extreme. i know the 140 aggressive puts out alot of smoke which i think is pretty awesome and i really want but the only problem is i have 4 inch straight pipe exhaust dumping underneath the cab. i really like the sound so i dont want to change the exhaust but im not sure if its a good idea to dump all that smoke underneath the cab. should i just get the 140 extreme instead? is there any performance difference in the two?

Jody and Diane are on vacation at Smokin in the Smokies, so you won't be able to reach them right now.

With your truck mostly stock, you won't be able to tell a difference between the two 140hp settings. The reason is that the stock HPOP can't supply enough oil for the amount of fuel and oil that is demanded by the chip. When the oil pressure drops, the truck feels like it's flatlined on power. You'll get lots of smoke with either one because the low oil pressure prevents full atomization of the fuel, but you won't notice a power difference if you had both settings and tested them side by side. The only way to take full advantage of the 140 tunes is to get big oil (Terminator, Stealth, Pulse, etc), but those aren't exactly cheap upgrades. I run the Terminator HPOS in my truck, and it made a significant difference in power.

so your saying that both extreme and agressive will both pump out the same amount of black smoke on a close to stock truck?

That is what Curtis said. You can see in my sig what I have. Even the 80e will put out smoke.

Talk to Jody and he will fix you up. But get ready for the big WOW.

Get the OBA at the same time.
