i thought i was done asking headlight questions, sorry, one more
i have learned from this great forum that the 05-07 headlight comes in regular and harley (harley having a black background). and that they can be fit in the 99-04 header panel w/some cutting.
i am ready to do the swap but cant decide on the harley or regular headlight. my truck is a silver 99 extra cab 4X4 w/the chrome 05 grill, chrome bumpers, silver 04 harley bumper valance, factory polished 18 inch 5 spoke wheels, and polished stainless cross bed tool box.
any one have or see either light in a silver truck?
any insights as to which one would look the best?
thanks,i dont have the vision to see it in my mind like others can
I think on a lighter colored truck, that the non-hd lights look better. Especially if you have a lot of silver/polished accesories already. The exception being white, it can go either way.
The HD lights look good on trucks with Dark stone, blue, black, dark grey, burgundy etc. I'm not decided on red like my truck. It is up to you of course.

i have the hd headlights on my black 03 an i love them in my opinion
we put the silver ones in my friends red 01. it al depends on your personal opinion.
With a silver truck I think either would look good. If you have lots of chrome the silver ones would probably look better, if you have some black accents.. harley's would look really cool. I have a red truck with chrome and black.. I have the tinted headlights I got off of ebay but will be upgrading to the harley lights soon.
the deciding factor would be that the harley headlights cost alot more than the standard ones.

IMO dark headlights on dark colored trucks. Regular headlights on light colored trucks.

Maybe it comes down to what kind of accents you have on the rest of the truck. I haven't seen many pics of light colored trucks with HD lights. I did see a red one and I didn't care for it. The smoked lights look good though. It's a tough call though, would be nice to try before you buy.

We have a member of the NE chapter that has a white F-350 with the Harley headlights, and it looks great. Hey, if nothing else, get a front end photo of your truck, and either use photoshop, or a black marker, and black out the chrome frame. that would give you some idea of how it would look.

Can you post pictures of his white truck with Harley headlights?
IMO harley lights only look good on dark colored trucks. I think they stick out like a sore thumb on light colored trucks.
