Fuel sending unit ohms

I need to get a sending unit for my 1989 F250, but I need to know what the ohm range is. Aparently Ford didn't use the same range year to year.

I installed a 40 gal rear tank and want to get a sending unit that will be relatively accurate. Thanks

If your sender works now just extend the float wire to read correctly or at least close.

You can try these #s
Here are the fuel guage test #s

22 ohms sent to the guage it reads empty "E"

145 ohm sent to the guage it reads full "F"

Here are the sender test #s

Sender at empty stop 14-18 ohms

Sender at full stop 154-162 ohms

Thank you for the specs.

Looks like the wire is a bit short but I bent it so that it will show me when I am near empty but the first half a tank it will just show as full.

I also installed a rear fuel tank in my 2003 F250 PSD. Can't seem to find the factory gauge ohm range. I would appreciate if you can provide this info.

I found the ohm range 15 full/160 empty. Finally got my service cd to work. Signal wire is yellow/white stripe. Ground is black/orange stripe.
