Suspension Question which one

Well I am finally able to do the suspension, now wich kit to get. I want to lift the truck 2.5 to 3 inches, and add dual shocks up front. I am going to with rough country dual shock bracket, and a new helliwig sway bar. As far as suspension is concered, my truck is litterally on the bump stops now in the front. I have the ranch hand legend front bumper and the extra weight on the front has really made it sag down, it bottoms out a good bit on big bumps. Like I said I only want to go up 3 inches at the most, but I am thinking that a 4" kit would raise it back up to stock height and then give me 3" or 2.5" of extra lift. Also I do want to have the add a leaf in the rear to stiffin it up a little I also have the ranch hand rear bumper wich is heavier. I am looking at procomp suspenion kit for excursions and at skyjackers, what do you guys think I should do. Are can I just use a regular F250 lift kit

Sorry for the long post.

Thanks
Sheldon

I used an add-a-leaf (listed for the front of an F250) in the rear of mine to increase load capacity and got about 1 inch of lift. Then up front I used a Tuff Country spring pack listed as a leveling kit for the front of an F350. I got a good 4 inches out of it in the front.

There are many choices. A one up traction block might do the trick, however, you need new springs.

I would recommend getting the front axle weight and decide how high above stock you want the front end to sit.

With that data, Deaver spring in California will make you a set of springs that are five times better than stock and will support the weight.

The springs will cost, yet the value exceeds anything you can imagine

My springs "which I love" are 14 leaf 6" lift ---- Soft as butter and strong as oxen.

I paid $500 a corner for them. But, these were pretty special. The truck weighs nine thousand pounds.

I have no idea what you will need or what they will cost, however, you will not be able to compare them to anything else on the planet.

My articulation was limited to about three inches with a rancho four in kit, and the ride was miserable. I currently get 8" of static travel that provides about forty inches of articulation.

If you want performance and quality.... give them a call. Jeff's team are first rate

I do have a set of 5000 pound super springs for the rear axle you can have to increase the payload in the bed. And the rear 4" rancho springs. I broke the fronts so they are of no value

You think I can get away with just doing deaver in the front and using a add a leaf in the rear. What woud that do for articulation, I do want the truck to be more performance oriented and have a decently smooth ride. I am running on a budget though of around 1200, to get it all done. Those 5000 super springs will they raise the rear up a little.

Thanks
Sheldon
