I want to install a carpet in my 90 F150. It has the factory rubber mat now. Should i remove that or install carpet over the top? Any ideas for best carpet? I want factory quality and fit. Truck is really mint and lacks in the "luxury" cab appointments. I want to install buckets and console eventually. Any help is appreciated, also any pics of your carpet installation...

lmc or jbg have the molded carpet, you might want to look into the sound or heat padding too

you will need to remove your vinyl floor thats in the truck---but the new ones are pre-molded and are pretty nice fit & finish

 

alotta companies like JCWor summit or whoever have loose carpet.....a buddy of mine got carpet for his lightning from Auto Custom Carpets, INC.....fits like a glove and they use factory original colors.....plus they'll send you a cutpile to pick the perfect shade.
