tube front axle

howdy all, it's been awhile since I've logged on but the Okla. weather has not been good for the slick up-dates...we're working on the #2 65 stepside and we're looking into putting a tube type axle....giving it the 60's gasser look, kinda wild right?? Just wanted to see if anyone has done this kind of thing, not just going back to the early years but a true tube.......tbritt

I have not done this paricular swap but I have done a volare swap. It should not be that hard. need an axil and leafsprings, and alittle fab work on the steering. The only problem might be what spindel and bolt hole pattern to use but an axil might come with them already installed.

Was thinking of using stuff from a 62 for steering and work thru u-joints, looking for the big arch springs and tube axel, spendels and rotor should be easy....just finding what we want is the big thing.
