I have an 08' w/ tow package (factory) bought new, does it have a tranny cooler and all better stuff standard that come with the tow package then the 08' trucks w/out the tow package? Or dod they just throw a hitch on there and you have to upgrade everthing oil cooler tranny cooler, etc.?

Mine is F-150 5.4l Super Crew XLT w/tow package. Mine came with what they called "The tow and go package" $1k instant rebate off price.

upgraded radiator
upgraded Auxiliary Tranny cooler
7 pin wiring

I dont have the 7-pin wiring I opened the thing by the hitch it shows on 4 only things (connectors) to plug into not 7. Did you mean there would be 7 things to plug into? Please explain, also can't find anything that say's it's has this stuff in manual, the hitch dont have anything stating it's a Class IV either. Oh ya it a 2X4 not 4x4 if that matters has 3.55 LS gears to

The 7 pin wiring is a round connector that is located next to the standard 4 wire connector that you speak of. The extra connections are for trailer brakes and backup lamps. The auxiliary tranny cooler will be a small radiator that sticks out infront of the lower half of your engine radiator.

My '08 with the tow package has a housing (box) with the 4 pin connector on the right side behind a spring loaded cover and the 7 pin connector on the left side of the housing with the same type of cover.

I also got 3.73 gears with a limited slip differential but that was a separate $300 (list price) option for the 4.6L 4X4.

From the tow guide, a 5.4 4x2 super crew with 3.55's has a tow rating (on paper) of 8400 or 8500 (5.5' bed or 6.5' bed, respectively) or the same truck with 3.73's has a tow rating of 9400 or 9500. Now reduce this by 500 pounds if you've got 18 or 20 inch rims.

Figure it this way, if you're happy with the performance of your truck, who gives a rats *** what gears you've got....
