So even the 66 with the larger exhaust housing spools well with the AB's. 2 should be great as well then too! Man I gotta get my injectors done!! and the turbo kit built!

Thanks for the reply Lukecline, I've been in Texas for the past week and did not have a chance to get on the net.

I think I'm gonna go with a h2e kit. I figure if I'm gonna spend a $1000 or so for the d66 whats another $1000 for the upgradeable h2e.

So you would gor with the 62mm /17 cm housing? I'm doing the Pulse and the tuner at the same time.

I have found an h2e about 30 minutes from my house that has about 10 thousand miles on it. It is a Hypermax h2e for 575.00. I am checking to see what size it is. He said he sold the rest of the kit that goes with it and only has the turbo left. Does this sound like a good deal?

thats about right for the turbo, there not that expensive but h2e mounting kit is upwards 1500 i think unless your pretty good at making your own up pipes, pedistal and oil lines.

Bumping this up.

I have an h2e setup on my truck. I haven't been able to find much on rebuild or upgrade parts for the turbo. I was hoping some of the folks in this thread are still around.

I know @FARM69 is still around. Hopefully he will be able to help you out. Most of the others haven’t been around in awhile.

i tagged Farm so he will have a better chance of seeing your question.

I text with rubber duck sometimes. Travis might know some about them. What are the questions. I'll message them after while. Neal can be reached tho responses are usually delayed.

Where people found these different housings or turbines?

The only things I've found are the dieselsite bullet wheel and uppipes. I can barely find any info on them at all.

That and its just be nice to know there's other people with the same setup.

An alternate question is that for those who modified the Holset, what were the psi numbers on both the compressor *and* turbine sides.

After skimming through this thread I am not seeing any front / rear psi numbers. Anybody still around with a modified Holset and have a pair of psi readings to share?

Sure, getting more boost and CFM on the compressor side is nice and all, but if the turbine psi runs noticeably higher than the compressor side, this looks like wasted power by way of heat to me.

With Hypermax claiming a 1:1 ratio of compressor to turbine sides, this seems like a thing I'd not want to modify unless I could get the compressor side higher than the turbine.

For rebuild parts, contact James Barder @ Barder Turbo Service. He doesn't build custom turbos anymore, but I believe he still sells parts. He will have everything you need..

As far as modified H2E's, if I'm not mistaken Beans diesel was offering modified versions. No idea if they still do.

I have an H2E with a 19cm housing on it that I'd sell. Literally like 1000 miles on it. I just didn't like how it spooled. $400 plus the ride.

Wish I could help on the H2E question, but i'm running an 19cm HX50 in my setup. If i remember right, there were only a handful of guys running the H2E back then let alone modded.

Unfortunately, I haven't followed things in several years and have only recently pulled my 97' out of the shed as it's pretty much sat the last 10 years.
