FTE Help

I know this is not the right place but.
Has anything been done to FTE to prevent me from getting on line? I can't get on with my computer at home but here at work it is fine. What do I need to do to fix this? I can't build my truck without you guys.

Some upgrades were done yesterday and there are still a few bugs in the system. Keep trying, it should clear up soon.

I am having the same trouble. I can log in at work, but I can't even access the forum home page from my computer at home.

This has been going on for a week, so I don't think it has anything to do with yesterday's upgrades.

I hope it clears up soon.

You can try to clear out your cache by going to "Tools" and then to "Delete Browsing History", then "Delete All". I am using IE XP so it might be a little different on another system.

I don't know if this will help but it's worth a try. By doing this you will have to enter your password and log in information when you come back to this board, or any other site you need to long into.

OK , I'm back at work now and can catch up. I did delete my history and all of that and it started a couple of weeks ago also. I thought maybe my provider had made some kink of changes but it seems funny that FTE is the only site of the ones I go to frequently that I can't access. I will keep trying.

What exactly happens when you try to get on from home? does anything come up at all?

How are you trying to get on? Do you have the main page bookmarked? the forum list page bookmarked? this forum bookmarked or what?
have you tried sneaking in a different way? Like maybe googling Ford Truck Enthusiast Forums or something like that?

Weird

I have 2 of the forums bookmarked. I haven't tried to go to the home page.

Try sneaking into it from a different angle.

I still think Bob had the right idea about cleaning out the cookies and history and rebooting.

Try going here then to the Forums
Ford Truck Enthusiasts, 1948-2009 Ford F150, Super Duty & SUV owners community and information source. Covers F100, F-150, F250, Bronco, Ranger, Explorer, Expedition, Lighting, Escape and More
Every once in a while FTE gets a bug in its butt and wont let you go directly to the forums.

EDIT:My My arn't they verbois, all I typed was the ford-trucks thingy for the main page. Maybe thats their problem, someting about an alligator mouth----

In my case, I have tried to access the forums both ways, by bookmark, and through the "forums" tab on the FTE home page. Either way, I get the error message "page not available" or similar. (I can't tell you the exact wording right now, because I'm at work.)

I regularly clean out my Temporary Internet Files, so I know that's not the issue.

I can only access the forums at work. I'm going into Forum Withdrawal, and I can't eat or sleep any more...unless I'm at work!

Try this just for giggles. Go to "Tools", click on "Internet Options", then "Security", then "Restricted Sites", then on the "Sites" button. Scroll down the sites and see if somewhow the FTE site got entered into the list. It's worth a try. Be sure not to click on the "Add" button while in this window or you'll add the site you're currently looking at like FTE.

Fte Site

Every now and again I have this same problem.
I found that deleting FTE from my favorites list, re-goggle FTE, add to my favorites list, re-enter user/password and then everything is ok. Hope this may help you. Have a great day, chuck

My day job is a computer consultant so try this...Delete the cookies this site puts on your computer which are located in the folder c:\Documents and Settings\Your windows logon name\Cookies. Instead of deleting all cookies in this folder just delete the ones that have the words "ford-trucks". Also be careful of using a favorite or bookmark to get to this new site. You may think it has the correct info but may not. So delete that bookmark and recreate it by going to the main start page Ford Truck Enthusiasts, 1948-2009 Ford F150, Super Duty & SUV owners community and information source. Covers F100, F-150, F250, Bronco, Ranger, Explorer, Expedition, Lighting, Escape and More then click to get to this forum and now save this new location as a bookmark.
Your browser may be blocking access to this site so might try a different browser. If you use Internet Explorer you can dowload and install Firefox as another option from Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable.

Ok that didn't post as I typed it. I put web addresses in for this site and Firefox and this site translated them into nonsense...so I guess the lesson is don't put web addresses in your post. Ugh!
