MILITARY LIFE and contact thread (NO TROLLS! None at all)

Our people are over there, and I respect them. I was one for twenty years.

Please consider this the NCO club, the "O" Club, the "CHIEFS" Club, whatever...

First of all - we will do whatever we can for you if you need it. I think I can say that outright with all of our brothers and sisters backing it up one hundred percent.

If something needs attention at home, find one of us in your home area and PM or E-MAIL them and we (I'm Sure!) will do whatever we can for you if you are overseas. For sensitive matters be sure to use a PM or an E-MAIL link, these I believe are fairly secure through FTE.

YOU ARE OUR OWN.

The legacy is unbroken...

Now maybe those of us who are back here can help in new ways. Retired, active, or whatever.

If there is anything we can do for you, tell us. Even if we can't do it ourselves we can pass it on to someone who can.

We do not forget, we don't just go away, and we want you back!

We WILL keep the faith.

WE WILL WELCOME YOU HOME....

Think of it as the new "MARS" system. We'll do whatever we can for you.

We can support.

The WWW is the last place for news of missions or conditions however. Never ask for details on those.

Misdirection might be helpful though......

Be a home contact in your area if you can.

If you get a message you can relay it.

It's good to see that some of our people have net contact, they might not at home.

I note that online pictures can be sent both ways!

We can send pictures FROM home, and we can send pictures TO HOME!!!
Both ideas are priceless....

Interesting concept. I wonder what the best way to implement it is. Maybe it would be easier if we had our members serving overseas, or getting ready to deploy have a thread where they could post their home address. Then anyone local to that area could send a PM and sign up for to help that individual's family.

Whatever is decided count me in. I've already left Joe (Izzy351) my email & cell phone number to give his wife during his upcoming trip and told him to have his wife call me if there's anything I can do while he's gone. I'd hate to think there may be someone from a different section of the forum in my area that I may have missed.

This should be a big help guys. Right now I am deployed to iraq, but thankfully I am getting close to my time to go home. Got a few months though. Always nice to hear about folks back home wanting to be helpfull.

You be careful out there Tribalgeek. Get your butt back here to your family.

My nephew is going back but, he only works in the dark. Between Afghanistan and Iraq, I think this will be his 4th scenic desert tour.

TIMES TWO!

Don't put personal info/Identifying info directly into a post on the thread itself.

HOWEVER:
If you click on any volunteers name you will see their profile come up. Among the other options you may E-Mail or PM them securely through the FTE RE-ROUTER. I believe this is a fairly secure means, but any info sent is available to the recipient, so weigh the information in light of who it is it goes to.

At FTE chances are good they are who they say they are. I know for a fact that MANTTA is a retired Chief. SOme others I am aware of, though the list escapes me just now.

-Trust but VERIFY!

~Wolfie

PS: Nobody else does this quite this way do they?

There's a definite need to restrict personal info of that nature to contacts only. It should never be in plain view to be surfed out by just anyone.

In the event of accidental disclosure of "TOO MUCH INFORMATION" in this thread, the post number should be immediately reported to a moderator to clean up names, addresses, phone numbers, or anything like that ASAP by whoever sees it first and has the presense of mind to do so.

Thank you. Sometimes I'm an idiot. I meant home location as in City & State, not their physical address. I was thinking if we saw someone in our hometown or a town nearby we could PM them with our information, instead of having someone who is out of the country, or fixing to leave having to ask for help.
