Glad to see you back Dutch! Many of us were getting worried when we heard that your computer died!

I'm still figuring what happenned to it. Last one was XP (likely home edition) on a laptop and it insisted on being updated as soon as it saw (detected) an internet conection.
The contraption failed shortly after downloading IE 7, at which point the symptoms were that it would not go to GMAIL.
After that it did not go to GOOGLE.
I got it to set up a "LIVE HOTMAIL", but after that it would not go to FTE or anywhere else. Every online connect after that failed.
I hope you can find something in that - you know more than I. Bound to be a pattern, I WON'T let this thing update a damned thing!
You can sign me up im in and around Dallas Texas....anything is possible

Our people are over there, and I respect them. I was one for twenty years.
Please consider this the NCO club, the "O" Club, the "CHIEFS" Club, whatever...
First of all - we will do whatever we can for you if you need it. I think I can say that outright with all of our brothers and sisters backing it up one hundred percent.
If something needs attention at home, find one of us in your home area and PM or E-MAIL them and we (I'm Sure!) will do whatever we can for you if you are overseas. For sensitive matters be sure to use a PM or an E-MAIL link, these I believe are fairly secure through FTE.
YOU ARE OUR OWN.
The legacy is unbroken...
Now maybe those of us who are back here can help in new ways. Retired, active, or whatever.
If there is anything we can do for you, tell us. Even if we can't do it ourselves we can pass it on to someone who can.
We do not forget, we don't just go away, and we want you back!
We WILL keep the faith.
WE WILL WELCOME YOU HOME....
Think of it as the new "MARS" system. We'll do whatever we can for you.

PS: NO sensitive information is to be posted in this thread. Screw "CNN"
Greywolf,
I am one who works with the Army Reserves daily providing support as a contractor to the Army here in California. I am also Navy Vet. I would be happy to help additionally for anyone in uniform. Having Travis AFB right down the road and the old Mare Island Navy Base as one of my serviced sites I am available to do whatever I can between Sacramento and Oakland for our brothers in arms and harms way. Count me in!
Reminds me of an interesting point about Mombasa Kenya - it is illegal to take pictures of the police there. Most of them are plain clothes.
They don't wish to be identified...

Honestly I don't know how I missed this thread. Looks like it started just as I went in for a new ball joint (titanium hip). I'd love to meet you and give you a salute and shake your hand!
This is absolutely great stuff. I couldn't agree with you more about the sensitivity and careful handling of these requests for help.
On a security note: I read here where someone was looking for their DD214 to post as to show proof of who they are. NEVER post this document.....it is a favorite target for those that like to steal other people's identity.
Additionally, remember what we were briefed on when we got our MIL ID cards? I recommend removing the LCPL's from the thread, it could be copied.
Just a little word of caution from a old stickler SNCO. Count me in! V/r Les
