Simple and succinct definition (from WIKIPEDIA):
An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an (OVERLY!!!) emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

-The dark blue above, is my own add.

I put that in the thread title so that people with such intentions had no excuse for intentionally disruptive posts in this thread, in hopes that serious people only would respond to it. This is NOT a thread for policy discussion, politics, or anything similarly prone to mud flinging. Since it is explicitly not allowed in the thread title, policing up any such attempt should be cut and dried without this thread needing to be closed. ZERO TOLERANCE

Any baiting seen should be reported to a moderator at once, and by no means responded to in kind.

It is intended (and will continue to be) entirely to help and support our friends and folks as best we can.

~Wolf out

I hope we can. I wonder though how we can identify who is the real deal from those who attempt to slide in any ole which way. I guess the best we can hope is that this is considered a "NON SECURE LINE" but one available if all else fails.

There are also many non-military people that we should not doubt of their individual commitment and willingness to help. At times they can be the greatest blessing of all: Consider the RED CROSS....

Civilian volunteers, every single one of them. How many do you think have security clearances? Not many - but look at everything they do.

One way to verify (current or retired military) is to have them PM you their military email address for verification which would be easy to do. Or I can check to see if they are listed in white pages on my military email.

E-Mail is email once an address is obtained.

Best verification is through PSD, if possible.

I don't think sending a military E-Address is wise, since the recipient is an unknown.

Anyone cares to check and authenticate I was AT1(AW) W. K. Jacobs on USS John C. Stennis four or five years ago. I can PM who my divo and ADIVO was IF I TRUST YOU....

Are you beginning to realise how slippery it all is?

Just for the hell of it - let's see if this flies....

I know - I had to apply my latent talents to the damn thing. (the picture)

Bottom line was the whole fooking back of the shop was on fire - and re-igniting faster than anything I ever saw before.

The man who took over as Supervisor called "ABANDON SHOP" but there was a pipe full of aviation gas in the middle of the fire and I said "HELL NO!!!"

And I had a damn fine team behind me!!!

That was the best I ever did, and it sure wasn't for juggling a pile of papers.

"MY PEOPLE" did that, following me.

Looks pretty tame on paper, doesn't it? Picture a shop (Closed Compartment) full of smoke, and CO-2....

"MAVERICKS" are enlisted people who become Officers. I chose to be different. Somewhat like Dick Marcinko I chose to be highly skilled at what I did, not caring to change again and become something else; become a "manager". I was a WILDCAT. Someone very good at what they do - who thinks outside of the box.

But the box closed in anyway - so I got out of the NAVY.

I'm not really following what exactly it is that you guys are planning on verifying? I am not ex-military. I'm an American.......if somebody isn't current, or ex-military in this thread does that make them a troll? Hope not! I'm only here to offer support in a small way........that could mean a LOT to somebody in need of it.

No - a troll is someone disruptive. Any and all help is good. But knowing who is who is better for higher connections. We would not want to give addresses and phone numbers out to the general public. UNDERSTOOD?
