You never seem to be able to give enough rep to the people who really matter, can you?

Bother, I'll catch you up next time.

I agree and sent it to a radio talk show that I listen to every day. The show is Quinn & Rose (XM 158, 6-9 AM, and many local outlets as well). Rose is currently running a campaign similar to what we are doing. She is asking people all over to do something nice for a veteran. For example, you see a couple of young marines in uniform getting some dinner, so you secretly pick up the tab for them. Or you might simply give them a ride so they can save money on a taxi... it doesn't have to be much; maybe offer to buy them a bottle of water.

So, what we are doing is not as uncommon as we might think it is, and it seems that supporting the troops is becoming more popular all over the place!

ALERT! Special bulletin, ALL TROOPS:

We talked briefly about a special picture contest JUST FOR YOU right? I mean, it isn't as if you have auto hobby shops when you're deployed, so the toys all stay home.

HOWEVER:
What could be more fun than bogging in a tracked vehicle or a deuce and a half???

SO:

Ya know guys, you'd think that with my avatar, I'd get a stinking invite ('cause I didn't know about this thing you got started GreyWolf) so I guess I'll just do the typical Marine thing and force my way in. Now ya'll are stuck with my help. Granted I'm right near Camp Pendleton, but I'll pitch in any way I can!!

(qoute) this is from my sons myspace!(rant)!

People of the United States
Category: Life

I would just like to add my thoughts on this myspace blog and i hope that everyone passing through reads it.

To start off, I am serving my time in the Army at the moment long away from civilization but i like it! The soldiers i work with everyday are amazing people, bet none of you can say your friends would die for you and if so it is a seldom few... I do want to do a little "bitching" if that is ok with you all. I HATE 90% of civilians, i guess its not their fault but i do. Don't ask me why its just my thoughts, but i feel that if these soldiers are here doing their jobs as hard is they do than everyone should, I hate baby ass silver spoon fed kids that have better things to do and take everything they have in life for granted because of what they do when they are mentally and physically fit to do time. All the soldiers going crazy cause their wifes leave them and they lose their familys, ya, that would be thanks to the people who "can" serve but wont. Vietnam, for example, United States called for a draft, 1,728,344 people drafted between 1965-1973. That gave troops ONE tour in Vietnam, that was the good life, now soldiers go 4-5 even 6 times on combat tours, why? Cause i believe we have a baby ass nation.. Look at Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Israel, Germany, Greece, and MANY other countrys, all have what is called Required Mandatory Military Service. And i do understand people, yea our country is free! Of course i fight for the flag but i fight for few of you, i have the utmost respect for those serving now and those who have served in the past, most of them know what respect is. In conclusion, i am sorry for "bitching", just needed to get my thoughts out to the low life ****s that don't care about anything, spit on me and ill spit on you. I can't wait for the next draft! I am proud to serve this great nation, i just hope we will be able to keep it this great for the rest of time. Thank you

Greg- God Bless your son- I feel the same way- especially after recruiting in Long Island NY- too many people enjoy the freedom only a proud few provide, and then have the balls to give us, the guys fighting and dying every day- crap for what we do, or look down on us because "we only joined the (insert branch here) because we were too poor or stupid for college".

Hope he makes it back safe and sound, as I hope for myself my next time over

SEMPER FI!!
