That is true, they are not stupid, despite what people think. Far from it. They know how to make what little they have work, and it sure does work, I know.

I like sand storms- it kept me out of 3 days of stupid power point classes here at Taji Iraq. Only 2 more days of pain and I can start my real work, training the Iraqi Border Patrol.
If you want to know all there is to know about power point - best to mess around with it on your own for a while anyway.
For some reason NAMTRAU (used to be NAMTRAGRUDET) thought, and prolly still thinks Power Point is the answer for info display and presentations. But I've got news - it makes a halfway decent presentation look tacky if you over do it.
Better to have a basic webpage editor and build a click and point display on a single disc.
If you HAVE TO use power point, figure out how to do it/use it in the simplest most direct way and FORGET ABOUT all the slick little bells and whistles. They don't help, they distract.
If you keep a display or presentation that uses it ("PEE-POINT") simple and to the point it will look ten times better than if you knew all the nifty goodies and "slicked it up" with them. In fact - it would make people who use the hell out of all those goodies look like dummies!
Be direct!

*PS: You can display some pretty cool stuff on a local terrain map with it. It may be helpful for before action briefs. It doesn't take a lot to learn to screw around with it.

Nearly a year after deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the members of the 1175th Military Police Company in St. Clair are returning home.
A homecoming ceremony for the soldiers will be Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. at St. Clair High School.
Roughly 180 Missouri National Guard soldiers left Franklin County March 1, 2008.
Soldiers from the 1175th, 1137th and 1138th military police companies comprised the deploying unit.
The soldiers had in-state pre-mobilization training at Camp Clark, near Nevada, Mo., and additional training at Fort Dix, N.J., before leaving for Iraq last spring.
While in Iraq, soldiers conducted military police operations and assisted with the stabilization of the country.
The 1175th is known for its ability to deploy to a theater of operation and perform military police combat support, force protection and company sustainment operations.
The unit includes three officers and 200 enlisted personnel in St. Clair, with a smaller detachment based at Jefferson Barracks.{from emissourian.com}

Looks like he is out at the Udari Range doing some convoy training. It was an exciting (but exhausting) 2 days. Day one was shooting- walk, stop turn, shoot; walk, stop, shoot, walk, shoot; etc. Day 2 was the actual convoy. They have a pretty elaborate set-up out there. Roads, overpasses, little towns, pop-up bad guys. Good times- and live ammo!!
