I don't get in this section too much, so I just saw this thread. I haven't read all of it, but this is a very cool thing you all have started!! I was in northern Iraq from May to the end of Sep, and know so many of you all back here were behind us helped me quite often. I'm in the Air National Guard (I'm a MSgt, E-7), so I never got into the really hairy stuff over there, but we had many, many attacks to the base in the form of 107mm rockets mostly, and a few mortar rounds too. My hat is off to every single one of the guys that went out that gate and did their duty in the face of the enemy. Some went out and didn't come back alive. I remember every minute I stood there at the ramp seeing our fallen comrades off for their last trip home...

Hey, Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Flyboy, whatever and where ever you are, whatever your rank; Heres a wish for you:

MERRY CHRISTMAS, and know that someone back home is thinking of you.

Keep your head down, and stay safe. May your next Christmas be at home.

Is anyone posted at McCord AFB? We have one of our very own FTE guys coming home from the sand-box. He said they were going to de-mob out of washington. That kinda sounds like McCord to me...

Anyway - it's no less than JOSH DVIRNAK!!! If we have anybody on site, maybe he can be greeted with cold 'suds' and fresh flowers...

Not that his unit wouldn't have a shipping container full of brew there. Maybe. Dunno...

I've hiked out with a seabag at end of cruise enough times from the terminal at Miramar.

Take care of yourself Danny. I will be thinking of you while you are gone, praying you return home safe and sound. Will you have a way to keep in touch with us and let us know how you are doing?
