Brothers and sisters, as we are gathered here on our collective computers no matter where we are let us give thanks for those who give of themselves.
The warriors down through the ages who have served and continue to for the sake of those they do not, and will not ever know.
Who stand the watches, march the marches, fire when fired upon, and will NOT quit even when the odds are bad.
Because they are the people who keep us free.
The quartermasters who make things come out of no where, and the corpsmen who bring our people back from oblivion itself - all of these are people engaged in saving lives in one way or another. Those who navigate ships at sea, and armored vehicles across the wastelands of trackless deserts. Pilots of jet fighters, cargo planes, and helicopters...
They do this so that we can sit at a table and give grace once a year on this day without fear of aggressors overtaking our homes.
Join me in my grief for those we have lost - courageous men and women that gave everything they had for us and our sakes.
Join me in LOUD APPLAUSE for all of the victories we have heard of (some of which cannot be told of) that gained us that much more security, and the fear in the eyes of aggressors when they think of being known to us for their activeties.
Join me in giving thanks for the welfare and good training of all of our troops, the missions they may never have to be sent on, and the ability to perform them well and effectively.
Join me in applauding their commitment to things unknown.
But their willingness to go there anyhow!
Join with me as an AMERICAN WHO IS WELL AWARE THAT FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!
Dearest Lord;
On this day of thanks, we think of our people who serve, without whom we would not be a free nation. May their families be safe, good tidings come, and may they return home safely to continue the lives they interrupted for the sake of those who will never know what it cost to make it so

I'll be at APG, Maryland for AIT in December...I'll make sure to sticky this thread and keep in touch. I can't wait to go, and I hope I go over to support the people already there....
I can't remember how thankful I was to receive care packages from complete strangers from a little thing called "Operation Minnesota Nice" Received more packages from them than I did from my own friends and family that knew me in person. Really made things a little better!!
Greywolf,
If you can put me down for contact or help for any service members out my way, I would be glad to help. 15 year USMC Vet. with many tours overseas so I know the drill pretty well. Will do anything in my power to help out a service member or family of. If you need my info I will send it to you. Glad to see people supporting our service members regardless of their respective feelings on the war.
I also am up on speaking Marine. Got out about two years ago still have many friends in all services. God bless them all.
Semper Fi,
