Go back-channel. What YOU know should guide you, where you have been...

I ain't worried about it. If people pipe up for help - we can point them. THAT satisfies my original intention.

Oh and by the way....

WE ARE A CHAPTER!!!

-We don't have a forum
-We are not an OFFICIAL part of FTE
-We don't have to be.....
-We can PM eachother.
Sound right?

WE TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN!!!
as we always have
as we always will

Keep the faith

This satisfies the needs of both IBI and FTE to not get any on them...

Any questions?

I reckon I've caused enough trouble tonight - where exactly did I set my beer down?

Well, I split my time between Rock Springs, WY (no clue about nearest base), and Brighton, CO, nearest base is Buckley AFB. I'd be happy to help anyone in either of these area's, so I'm definately into this sudo-chapter!

"SHHHHH!!!"

We don't exist....

I could tell you we did, but then I would have to run a full background check and possibly erase you....

*waves paws*

Black helicopters at night, destroyed cattle to mess up the locals minds, funny patterns in hayfields so people think UFO's grabbed you....

It's cheaper just not to ask.

We're funny about people. You have to go through some "POOP"...

Were you ever active or reserved?

That's OK - you don't need to warn an ex-Marine about "POOP," as long as I can grill the destroyed cattle!

I just love quoting myself. Makes me feel kind of important. Thought I'd let you know our friend is back home and able to play with the truck himself again. I just received a PM from him stating he was going to pick back up on it himself instead of having his wife deal with it. If you don't know anything about the motor, I thought a few of you could at least stop by the above link and say Welcome Home.

The first deployment is the roughest one. The first couple of months into it you are really homesick. Luckily he is getting mail though. When I first went to Iraq, mail was iffy at best. They have gotten it straight for the most part. It does get better though. I've had some fun on each of my deployments. We had plenty of time for family bonding, where even inside jokes had inside jokes.

It's funny about that - people in the military have a totally different sense of what is funny than anyone else I ever knew.

"If you think it's bad now, get ready for the next load!"
(they indoc you on that in boot)

That is actually FUNNY to a military guy....

And it is the HARDCORE BASIS of military humor.

We go through so many changes, get used to so much that is WAY BEYOND what our old neighbors have ever seen...

BAD NEWS is funny....

KICKING ASS ANYHOW is our laughter.

*Is it any wonder that tears and laughter feel so much the same?

Fight safely! Make the other stupid SOB die...

Speaking of the differant sense of humor. When the commander says, "Alright guys, I know we werent supposed to fly out until next month, but pack your bags tonight we leave at 0330" the entire unit starts laughing saying I knew it.

Or when someones about to get in trouble they always says, what are they going to do send me to Iraq?
