Need Retaining Clip on shift Lever Arm

Hello folks. I replaced the bushing and insulator on my 3 spd column shift arms and the retainer clips that hold the linkage to the shift arm are worn and need replaced. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Does anybody know where to find them? I tried DC, NPD, NAPA, Autozone, LMC. My Detroit Iron CD doesn't show them so, I do not have a part number.
Any help would be appreciated. See my gallery for a pic.
Thanks
Gene

Many years ago I lucked out by bringing the remaining pieces to the parts counter at an old-line Ford dealer, unfortunately those are few and far between these days
Numberdummy or one of the other Masters might chime in later with a part number, at that point someone like Green Sales ought to be able to fix you up

Try www.restorationspecialties.com and look at what they have, or try cross drilling the linkage and using a cottere pin instead of the clip you need. The mid-fifties linkage is cross drilled. Good luck!

I am looking also for these.

I have seen 1964 and down with cotter pins.

All of the 65 and 66s I have seen have the clips.

I will post back if I find some.

(I found ten of them, see EDIT)

371702-S .. Clip

This clip is wavy in shape, and is known as a spring clip.

The same clip was used from 1965 thru 1979 on cars and trucks.

EDIT: GREEN SALES has 10 of these clips (they are new old stock) available: 800-543-4959

Original types of reproduced FoMoCo hardware:

Check out dearbornclassics.com / online catalog / Pages 201 - 209.

You can order a free printed catalog: 800-252-7427.

Just wait'll you see all the goodies, there are other truck related parts in this catalog, too. Dearborn sells parts for Galaxies, other 1960's cars, but there's a pile of stuff that's truck related.

I just worked on mine yesterday- the clips on the linkage part. I bought 4 c-clips that are 5/16. I put a washer and the c-clip on it and they work great. C-clips were about 10 cents apiece, had the washers lying around. Hope this helps, very cheap fix.

4) B7AZ-2471-B .. Brake/Clutch Pedal Shaft Nylon Bushings.

Ford suggested retail price: $1.66 each / ftepartsguy.com price: $1.20 each

How are the two nylon bushings on the clutch rod that runs from the pedal to the equalizer (Z) bar? Those bushings wear out, that causes the 90 degree ends on that rod to crack, and sooner or later you'll be looking for a new one.

2) COAZ-7526-B .. Clutch Rod Bushings

Ford suggested retail price: $2.05 each / ftepartsguy.com price: $1.48 each.

There are two nylon bushings, two felt washers and two E clips on the equalizer bar. The bushings wear out, the clutch pivot ball studs go south, and soon you'll be lookin' for two of those, and they ain't EZ to find.

2) C1AA-7543-A .. Clutch Equalizer Bar Bushings / Retail price: $3.43 each / ftepartsguy.com: $2.47 each.

2) 358979-S .. Felt Washers / Retail price: $1.60 each / ftepartsguy.com: $.96 each.

2) 97474-S .. E Clip / Retail price: $1.80 each / ftepartsguy.com: $1.08 each.

All these parts are still available from Ford.

ftepartsguy.com is Ed Olson at Parr Ford, Bremerton WA.

When typing part numbers at Ed's site, or on Green Sales site, REMOVE the hyphens from the parts numbers!
