a ton and a half? flat ground? Your should be good, I have towed my car (5,000lbs with trailer) and I tow my dad's boat (2500 lbs) about 75 miles to and from the landing...

You should be good to go.
If you happen to drive at a speed that has the transmission bouncing back and forth between locked and unlocked TC, or between in and out of OD, just push the "OD off" button and drive on.

Not sure about vibration damper.
Can you give more info on where it is located.
I'm curious now.

Thanks.
