bad factory door posts?

I just bought two new door posts. When I try to fit them to the new kick panels, I notice that the spot weld flanges on the front and rear of the door post are not in the same plane. IE, they are not square with one another.
Either the front lip will weld up, or the back but not both. This thing is like, 1/2" out of square. I have photos which show it better than I can explain it here.
But my question is, these door posts have to have square lips because they are welding to the kick panel, right?

Do you have any way to post pictures? Might be easier to understand your problem.

I figured out the problem. Actually, the parts are built right and i'm a ******* for not figuring out how the parts all fit together I took another long look at all the parts and discovered the kick panel is not flat and has an accomodation for this angle door post flange.
Is anyone here able to post pictures? I've been a member since 2002 but can't post pics...
I have some pics over at broncofix forum asking the same question

Go to manage/ create your gallerie and create an album. Then you can download your pics. I think the max pixels is 3072, so you may have to resize them first. Once you have them downloaded, there is a prompt under the picture that lists forum codes for posting. I usually copy and paste that to my post.
