Is there anything you can do to keep from being zapped when you slide out of your pickup?I get out ,reach for the door to close it and a spark jumps..

Wakes you up in the morning, doesn't it? Kind of fun to touch your wife and/or kids when you get out...

Take the time to ground the fabric with some braided copper, and it will last forever. I was giving the easiest, quickest, cheapest option.

Excellent idea!! I'm going to try that... Does it need to be braided or can you use regular copper wire with an alligator clip to clip it to the fabric.

Seems like back in the 60-70's some seat covers use to come with grounding wires.I've seen static discharge wires under the cars too years ago.
