It's COLD Inside !

I am a happy camper today. Got my AC charged up and everything works well. It was 82' here today, so I decided it was time to find out if the AC was going to work. My wiring to turn the fan on when the AC comes on worked as planned. It blows real cold and seems to do a good job of cooling the cab down quickly. I hope to get my newly upholsted ranger seat and my carpet in on Monday. The carpet and insulation will help the AC and quiet thingds down a little more. If all goes well, I will be ready to do some cruise'n.

I used Hot Rod Air for the AC.
I used a EZ Wire harness. It worked out OK. All of them take some thinking and planning if you're going to try and hide most of the wiring. The electric fan will run constantly unless you install a relay that is controlled by a thermostat switch. I installed a second relay that turns the fan on whenever the AC compessor turns on. Other than that, everything was straight forward and all of the wires were long enough.
Let me know if I can help you out.

I used a thermostat that closes @ 200' and opens @ 185'. I put it in the intake manifold close to the thermostat housing.
Here is a wiring drawing. the relays are standard horn relays. The top one turns the fan on when the temp gets to 200'. The bottom one turns the fan on whenever the AC compresser kicks in. That makes sure you have air flow through the radiator when sitting in traffic.

Hope this helps.
