Question Mustang Axle Specs

Does anyone have any specs or info. on the axle from a 95 Mustang GT. I may be able to get a rear axle from a 95 GT with disc brakes and posi that someone is selling. I don't have any info on it since the guy selling it doesn't have it yet. Will this be a decent axle setup for my 54 F100 with a 4 link kit? What would be a resonable price to pay for this type of axle??

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Rodney, might have to search around the mustang websites for the axle width..never heard of one going in a 53-56..I was under one about 6mos ago and was wondering the same thing, is it a8.75 inch? I saw alot of brackets on the one I looked at that would need to come off..on the other hand I guess you could fab -it into a 4-link using the stock stuff , follow up on it and keep us posted! Good Luck!

Don't worry , that warm stuff is on it's way!! 80* in Texas ,ditto in Florida..
Hang in there !
BTW what are those specs? No Pic? Is"A" total width? Flange to flange? Seems about right.. I know the 9 inch is the way to go for strength, but 8.8 not too bad either.
Thanks for the info! Spring is coming brother!

Thanks for the info guys. I am going the 4 link route. Is there a way to tell if the axle is really a posi unit? Does anyone see any problems going this route? If not I'll try to pick this axle up next week when the guy gets it.
