360 motor mounts=header clearance issue?

Hello i have just recently ordered a pair of fc2 from sanderson headers in my 1968 f100 i have a400m when the headers didnt fit for the 3rd time i started going over other things, my question is when the motor swap was done in my truck the old 360 motor /frame mounts where left in, if i where to switch to motor and frame mounts for the 400m would it be enough difference to get the clearance i need? since on the passenger side it hits the frame rail just slightly and on the driver side gets stopped by the stearing box, any info helps thanks

danlee has a good reputation on FTE.danlee has a good reputation on FTE.
They didn't make motor mounts for a 400 in a '68. Have you asked Sanderson about using those headers with your setup?

I use Sanderson FC3s in my '53, but I have R&P steering and many other things that are different than a '68, including custom motor mounts.
