Has anyone built a WVO system from scratch

I am looking into a WVO system that I can make myself with "off the shelf" parts. Has anyone done this out there? I drive long distances at a time and i would like to build something I could switch over manually. I don't have the money to put into a veggiestroke system, but maybe I could save enough to get one down the road if I could make a simple one myself right now.

I built one myself. I took a 50 gallon Tank off a Reefer Trailer, cut a whole in the top, put a small radiator out of a car in it, welded it back up with an in and out port for heater hose, pulled the fuel lines off the stock rear fuel tank in my 88 Ford and hooked to it, and there you go, homemade system works great.
