2008 Election Thread

As we do NOT want to use the Nomination thread as a normal posting thread, let's use this one for any questions or dissemination of information for the upcoming election!

My first question to the membership is: As we did NOT discuss the position of Assistant Chapter Leader at our last meeting, do we continue to pursue this position for this election? I think we need to clearify this to let it continue. I also think that if anyone (else) wants to put their name in the hat for this position, we should reopen the nomination for another week for this position only. What say you, the membership?

I certainly think we should have an asst.CL, It would help the CL out and if something happens to the CL it would be good to have someone in the know.

If TB doesn't do something in the next day or two about this election, I'm gonna contact FTE myself to insure they will help with the elections..sending and gathering the votes.

I think it could be an appointed position, but its up to yall, just my idea

I DO NOT think it should be an appointed position as it would foster collusion or only the appearance of it. All those in favor of opening the nomination of Asst CL for a week, please post now. I vote yes, open for 1 week....to close on midnight, April 2nd, 2008.

I think that sounds like a good idea CYA.
If you remember when I said something about it I
did say "If I could nominate Bud as Asst. CL".
Although seeing as it has been posted and not
challenged it could stand, but I guess the right
thing to do would be open it up.
