Crazy idea for sure....

The airflow keeps them from getting too hot...not that I would want to rub allover them right away and the heat shields keep you far enough away but you can definitely feel the heat. My original design is already ready for improvment, as these are only 4 inch. I may try 5 or 6 if I get brave this year. I just haven't had the time to mess with them. I just put on a SP Diesel EBPV brake and will be putting it to the test when we head north next month. I loved everyone elses stacks but I needed to have a place for my generator in the bed and I also have a rollup truxedo bed cover, so I had to come up with something different. Some folks don't like them...some do....Like everything, change is coming, just a matter of when.

PowerStroker? is starting off with a positive reputation.
I personally am in the market for a truck, but I'll let ya know what me an the old man will go out towing around.

We've got a tandem axle bumper-pull trailer.

We use it mainly to move our 2005 CAT 236B skidsteer, but it will also move our Jeep Wrangler around on a regular basis so that the old man can drop something off and have a ride home again. The biggest thing we've ever put on that bumper-pull trailer is a Bobcat T300 with a FECON mower on it. It weighed about 12,000 lb. The guvmint wouldn't have liked it if they caught us, but the truck didn't mind. In fact with it in Tow/Haul mode the truck hardly noticed it was there.

The truck is an 06 6.0l PSD 4x4 with a Reading service body on it so we can't put a gooseneck on it cause it would smash the bed.

The pictures remind me how much I need to invest in some air bags to keep her level..
