Super Duty's #1 in Theft

Hello everybody

I've had my truck two months and already it's been broke into twice. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that this has happened to. Yeah, they broke in by breaking the door handle (prying it out).

Just a note to tell everybody I found out the way to prevent this possible from happening again is to replace the two front door handles (if your are able to) with blank (keyless) handles like you have on the rear doors.

You lose the manual key entry but in my case I have a remote and keyless entry (number sequence). Your removing the guts to the manual key entry now.

Hope this helps someone else

Just so you know they can still get in pretty easily with a slim jim. But that is smart thinking on getting rid of the key hole.

I had my 06 f350 stolen in august of last year, don't know how they got in but my insurance gave me $43,910 for it! That was a nice chunk towards my 08 F350 6.4 Long Bed that I have now! I sure don't want to lose this one!( except when it's in regen acting stupid)! Sorry they messed with your ride.

thats a good idea. ive heard of superduty's being the number one stolen vehicle in the us before. however, what happens if your batteries die for whatever reason and your truck is locked?

I'd like to see a map of the thefts, I am sure they are concentrated along the border. I am fortunate to live in an area (central coastal CA) where vehicle thefts are fairly rare (for now).

When I was broken into, the worthless scumbag broke the plastic door handle to unlock the door. So I would like to get solid billet aluminum door handles.
Something like these two products would be great.

I personally like the first ones shown. Does anybody know which ones have better fit and finish?

These handles fit nice. The whole assembly is replaced with billet! nice! and you can get different handle (actual lever piece)with all sorts of designs...but kinda high...

Are you talking about the T-Bilt handles or the AMI handles?

Yeah, I noticed that and their website does not have a page about the handles. It seems that maybe their website is under construction or something.
