I have 325s on mine...stock suspension... i had to do some trimming of the valance... and get rid of the stock runningboards. Now i have no rubbing probs... look in my gallery for a pic. they are a little bigger than 34 inch tires...

Anybody ever run those BFG Mud Terrain KM on their Expy? I love the tread profile and need at least a six ply (lots of gravel roads here in MT) but, I'm concerned about too much hum when cruising down the freeway.

I had them.... i actually just sold them.... i do a lot of hiway driving and they were LOUD... but man, off road and in rain, they were great. in the rain, they really channel water away, no chance of hydro plane... and off road, if it was snow, deep soft sand, or mud... let the air pressure down to about 15 pounds and i could go thru Anything...

Hey guys I wound up getting Bridgestone Dueler Revo tires last spring and really like the way they handle on road and off road great in snow too.

Thanks for the heads up Mook. I think I'll try them out. A buddy at work had them he said they aren't that bad & he knows my taste in tires.

2000 Expedition with 315x70/17

I had a 2000 Expedition. It had new 315x70/17 BFG's on it when I bought it. The lower plastic on the front bumper was trimmed. They never rubbed. After 25K miles the cords started to separate as BFG's always do & I didn't want to put them back on so I went to the Nitto Terra Grappler 295x70/17. I put 60K on them & they were still in great shape when I sold the truck. I would never buy another BFG.

I just put a set of MasterCraft Courser AXT tires on the Stock Whells EB -2005
I went with 275-70-17 Tires which seems to fill in the wheel wells much better. They looks great on the car and are ride nice on the highway - I will see how they are in the snow this winter. Looks wise they are 1000X better than the Stock Continentals that were on it before - which looked more like car tires in my viewpoint.

I will ad pict soon -

285's

Old post, but for those still looking here for answers....

285's are clearing just fine on a 2002 Nav with the air suspension.
285/70/17 on stock 17x7.5 wheels without spacers.

What size rims and tires do you have on this expedition in this picture? And what kind of tires are they. And do you have a lift on it?

I just put stock sized Goodyear Wrangler ATS tires on the 03. I don't see the need to go with the oversized tires like that, 285s are huge for a 7.5" wide rim but w/e. I just did these tires on Monday and it iced up last night and they are kicking ***. Only paid $100 on CL for them lol. They are basically new.
