Well you could go with the road gear of kraco from one of your local autoparts store. Those get the job done. for around the 75 dollar range you can get a deck like the jvc, sony and whatnot from Walmart. Most of the low end stuff at a Bestbuy is really decent, so It just depends on your budget.

You could get a good deal on a used one on Craigslist.

I've always been partial to Kenwood (kdcmp228 in my Ranger and a DNX7100 in my 07 Screw). Both are great units. Sonicelectronixs have them from $65.00 on up.

Some guys frown on this but have you thought of going to some garage sales? I started going to garage sales last year and I can't get enough of them lol. I picked up an old 8 track player that fits in a mustang for a $1.00. It's in great shape and works too. This year I picked up a Sony AM/FM CD player for .50¢ it works and there was even a cd left inside. I don't have the model number but remember on ebay this radio was going for $175 or so.

I've found a lot of guy stuff at garage sales and the prices can't be beat. Come to think about it the last garage sale ( last Fri - Sat ) I went to I picked up a JL Audio 10" sub with a box for $5.00.

Most discount department stores such as Big Lots usually have cheap cd players with a set of speakers for around $50. You could even try local auctions, if you have any near you.

If your looking for a totally free radio you can check out Freecycle
The Freecycle Network

To find a group near you just type in your city and go from there.

On this website you can get free stuff from people and give people your unwanted stuff for free but you can't sell anything.

Good Luck

This is the season for auto swap meets... you never know what you'll find. Last summer there was a booth with a ton of decks and speakers that looked like they'd been saved from scrapped cars. At another meet I bought a Sony CD head unit for $20 just to get the speakers it came with.

MP3 isn't a bad feature to have... if it's got a USB or SD card port, that's almost better than a CD changer. With no moving parts or lasers to wear out, that part of the radio should work forever, and play without skips no matter how rough the road is. I've seen decks like that on sale for under $80.
