we used to go up to an abandoned firetower in Kingston, NH
the road was barely passable by 4x4
on many a arm summe night we'd get 10-15 trucks up to the top!
occassionally, we'd get up there and someone had managed to get
a geo metro up to the top...we think they carried it!
another spot was a sand pit a few miles away.
we had to drive thru a shallow pond to get in
it was far enough from other homes we could play loud music and have a bonfire

I hunted up around Pole Creek at that area a few times. We go to Ely every summer. We lived there a few different times. I love the Nevada back country but the State is not the same place we grew up in. Oh course no place is the same we just decided we needed to go someplace new to live. Kingman has been a good choice overall. We are close enough to go visit in Nevada.

We don't miss Carlin either. I like Elko & have friends there. We're not in any hurry to return to Nevada. We like Arizona. Kingman is a real corrupt City as is Mohave Co. but they leave us alone & I have met several good people here. Unless times get real bad we will stay here for now. Because of what goes on here that is why my wife works in Bullhead City. It is a little more progressive plus they pay teachers quite a bit more money than the Kingman area. Plus she doesn't have to live in the same place as she works, and that we feel is better. Nevada is getting real expensive to live. They started charging us in RV parks, Weekly motels, & soon apartments a tax. We had to pay a $30/mo tax to live in Carlin.
