rocker arm oil deflector clips

Do I need oil deflector clips on my 400 ford stock set up? I just purchased new rocker arms with bolts and the fruncrum from melling . They did not include any clips. I had a set of heads from another car so I had a valve job done and am in the reassembly part of the job. thanks

The oil deflector clip is the baffle. Early style stamped-steel rocker arm have a seperate baffle. If your rocker is bent-over tab at the pushrod-end you don't need the baffle.
