Will a Dana 60 carrier fit into the Dana 50 housing?

Will a Dana 60 carrier fit into the Dana 50 housing?

specifically 2002 f250 SD

I have heard that they are the same housing.

It's just a bare housing that a guy has on ebay.

from everything i have seen, the 02 F250 came with a dana 60. so are you wanting to put an 02 carrier into a dana 50 ifs setup, or are you going under the assumption the 02 housing is a dana 50??

the link you put in does not work. list the item number only, not the whole site address.

just a wild guess but i think the internals of the 50 are the same as a 44... just in a 60 housing so if you put a 60 diff in that housing you would have to put 60 shafts in there as well to match the splines
