Question Hello i need ur help on my Bronco II

Hello my new friends!! im new to this but have fixed alot of rides with ur help and not being registered!

<TABLE width="100%" border=0 itxtvisited="1"><TBODY itxtvisited="1"><TR itxtvisited="1"><TD vAlign=top itxtvisited="1">i got a 3.0 eng out of an areostar 89 model and want to know if i can replace my crappy 2.8 carb to the efi 3.0 with out much mod's? like will the oil pan or engine clrearence be an issue? ill strip computer, wire harness, linkages, sending unit ect.....

did i say it coming out of an 1989 areostar with a blown a4ld !
friend had a shop rebuild his 3.0 only to loss the tranny 1600 mile later! in my case i rebuilt the 2.8 and a4ld tranny in my bronco 4x4 ,but autozone sold me a weak upper hose = somebody cut it with there box cutter (not all the way thru) and i never saw it till my motor blew at 3am on way home, my crappy gauge didnt say it was hot cause the dam water left befor sensor can read it = i should of bought an after market gauge=live and learn!

1985 bronco II 4x4 with a stock 2.8 and rebuilt a4ld with modified flywheel plate to stop front seal blow outs plus high performance parts put in that tranny = its ok! i got to play in w.v big sandy and did have a blast! till an upper hose change recently! pssss ;(

First off welcome to Ford-Truck Enthusiasts and the South Carolina Chapter!! Where in SC are you from?

A friend of mine recently did a similar swap, but I think his was a newer 3.0L (from a '95- '97 Ranger?! I think) and it went into '88(?) B2.

Irc, he had A/C clearance issues- but I'm unaware of anything else.

Also, If you haven't already- I can help you post or move this one to the B2 or Engine Swap forum.

Thumbs up Thank you

Thank u--99Trigger3_0!
Im from charleston s.c! And if a/c is an issue ill leave it out! even tho there are times when its needed. I cant say the 1989 3.0 is diff. from the 90's model 3.0l but its all i got and a 302 boss eng. with a heavy cam & 289 heads & elenbrok highrise intake, but no tranny to go with it! and money is an issue atm. 3.0 will require only my labor & time! witch i have atm.=no work=no money= wife make's good money but pay's the bill's and through's me a bone at time's! she wears the pants =im her bitch (ATM)!! ;(

P.S yes plz post it at b2 im a noob dont know much! but im trying! = half the battle to learning!
