Finally!

We finally have a diagnosis for Donna and starting a treatment plan. Radiation therapy will start on the 14th and we have to see the Dr who does the chemo in LR on the 16th. We're glad that he comes dowm to Eldo twice a month to do the chemo treatments, now if they will just set her up for a 2 week interval, a lot of people do it every 3 weeks. That will mean a trip to LR every 3 weeks if so. But whatever it takes, we will be there.
I have been about crazy trying to figure out a way to hurry these folks along, but I guess they have others to deal with also, so we all have to wait our turns.
We are so thankful for all of the prayers and well wishes from everyone. I guess you really don't know how many friends you have until you really need them, but it looks like we have many.
That is the report for now, will keep all informed as progress is made, Jeff & Donna.

Update: We saw the chemo Dr today. We have to be at the local hospital at 6AM tomorrow for the surgeon to put in "port" in a vein for the chemo treatments. The treatments will continue for at least 6 months. The radiation therapy started Monday and will last for 6.5 weeks. With both going on at the same time, we expect Donna to be very sick for a while.
It is just my hope that the treatments will destroy the cancer or at least shrink it enough so that it can be removed. Only time will tell.
This has been a life changing experience for me. The thoughts and well wishes of my friends have been much appreciated.
Thanks for listening, Jeff
