Generator question
The generator in my 60 quit genning and I replaced it with an old spare I had. It seems to work, but it's sparking at the brushes/commutator. Is this likely due to a dirty connection between the two and will it clean itself up after running for a while or do I need to worry about it?

They usually do clean themselves up. after a while.
It might not be a bad idea to take it apart and lightly sand and clean the commutator or you probably get new brushes from NAPA.
You can also get brushes from any auto electric place that rebuilds generators. If you want to completely rebuild you can also get bearings and do the whole job a LOT cheaper than having it done.

Rick
