my buddy has a 2003 f-150 x-cab fx4 w/fog lights and wants to make it so he can turn the fog lights on with the driving lights instead of having to have the headlights on to get them to come on. what would be the easiest route to do this . i was suggesting to just hardwire them to a switch on the dash so you can turn them on when you want to. let me know what you folks suggest, also does the fog light wiring splice into the headlight harness or what?

I thought I heard somewhere you could use a explorer switch.

 

i just used a jumper wire on the back of the headlight switch, i ran the jumper from the park lamp circuit to the fog light circuit, so that when you turn the park lamps on, the fog lights come on also.
