4r100
Hello all, Im having some issues with my 2000 excursion 4x4 limited with a 6.8 v10. Its not shifting into 3rd i get 1-2 a bump like a tc lock up or a half assed try to shift and thats it no 2-3 3-4 1-2 is it reverse works great i replaced the trs installed correctly with lines matching flushed the tranny with new fluids 3 times no flashing o/d lights no obdII codes either ??? Tranny fluid red smells kinda like celery but the stuff smells weird going in so definetly not burnt though! Just curious as to what would cause this it doesnt shift when hot cold nada just doesnt want to go to 3 the o/d on/off doesnt light up either. Oh it was also submerged in a swamp but since has been flushed repeatadly could this be the work of a stuck solenoid? Autoparts only shows 1 shift solenoid http://www.partsamerica.com/productdetail.aspx?MfrCode=SMP&MfrPartNumber=TCS60
but this place looks like it has a ton of em in a pack http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=2&Category_Cod e=E4OD-4R100solenoid
also what is pwm AND NON PWM??? or the abr. TCC?
Anyways thanks for the help this is begining to become a nightmare

The 4R100 uses a PWM TCC, the E4OD uses a non-PWM TCC.
PWM means pulse width modulated. All you need to understand about them is the 4R100 needs a PWM.
TCC means Torque Converter Clutch. This is the solenoid that controls the TCC. It will not affect the shifts at all.
You most likely have either a bad shift solenoid or a stuck valve in the valve body. There are two shift solenoids, but that are connected to each other. You have to replace both, you can't change just one.
