In my opinion ya just gotta start from scratch. Start is the valley, ya gotta git it clean and dry. A swipe with a lick and a promise isn't going to get it.
A good swivel mirror and a good flashlight is paramount.
Chances are that it's going to be in or around the valley. I can't think of any place outside of the valley on the driver's side that it could be comming from other than a fuel line. There is a drain in the valley but that is on the Pass. side.
I assume that you have been under the truck while it has been running
(E-Brake set in park or N for safety) If it only leaks after it's been driven the leak is accumulating somewhere. Have you tried parking it down hill as well as up hill to locate the path of the leak? I have used a set of ramps for just that purpose and that worked for me.
It's a slow, time comsuming and frustrating job.
Good luck,
Rog
